As part of her Bachelor’s Degree, Véronique Tessier did an internship in Chile in 2018, where she documented the precarious housing conditions of Venezuelan migrant workers living in the city of Concepción. In 2019, she worked as a social worker for the Multi-Ethnic Centre of Quebec (CMQ). She assisted families of refugees and asylum seekers to facilitate children’s integration into school. Since the Fall of 2018, she has been a Master’s student in Geography, supervised by Danièle Bélanger, at Laval University, Quebec. Her Master’s thesis will focus on the trajectories of families of asylum seekers with children, who have crossed the Canadian-American border since 2018.
