Marcus Fraga is a PhD candidate in Sociology at Laval University, Quebec. He is interested in data analysis applied to the study of international migration. His Doctoral thesis proposes a comparative analysis of the economic integration of immigrants, primarily refugees, in Canada and Sweden. His Master’s thesis, completed while studying demography at the University of Montreal, Quebec, is an original longitudinal study comparing the fecundity of different categories of immigrants in Canada. Marcus is also involved in various research projects in collaboration with Danièle Bélanger in the Department of Geography at Laval University, Quebec, and Charles Fleury in the Department of Industrial Relations at Laval University, Quebec. These projects focus on immigrants and temporary workers’ trajectories and socioeconomic integration in Canada. Finally, Marcus keeps an eye on communication policies and Latin American politics.
