Clara Guyot holds a bachelor’s degree in geography and planning at Sorbonne University Paris IV and a Master’s degree in Geography at Laval University.
She completed her research under the direction of Adèle Garnier and in co-direction with Danièle Bélanger as part of a project of the Canada Research Chair on Global Migration Processes. Her dissertation project focuses on the representations and categorizations of the employability of temporary foreign workers by manufacturing employers in the Quebec City region. She is interested in the socio-geographic processes surrounding the issue of temporary foreign workers and their insertion into a labour market increasingly marked by a labour shortage, particularly in the region’s industrial and manufacturing sectors.
