Charles Fleury, PhD in Sociology, is an associate professor in Industrial Relations at Laval University, Quebec, academic director of the Quebec Inter-University Centre for Social Statistics (QICSS – Laval), and member of the executive committee of the Poverty and Social Exclusion Research Center (CEPE). He specialises in social statistics, and his research interests include mobility and migration, socio-professional insertion, the life course, and the relation to work. He is responsible for the project, “Beyond Exile: Refugees’ Life Course in Quebec from 1980 to Today” (SSHRC – Insight Development), and is co-researcher on the projects “Mobilities and Migratory Trajectories in Canada”, led by Danièle Bélanger (SSHRC – Insight Development), and “Beyond Irregular Entry: Pathways of Migration and Socio-professional Insertion of Asylum Seekers in Quebec” (SSHRC – Insight Development), led by Aline Lechaume. Charles has been collaborating with the Research Chair in Global Migration Processes since its creation and he co-supervises students with Danièle Bélanger.
